What does the world look like when you are so smart, you don’t know how to relate to other people anymore?
This is a ‘ coming of age’ story of a young woman, at the end of the 19th Century, that has a free spirit. She has lost both her parents at a young age and is used of taking care of herself when she inherits a beautiful farm.
Men are drawn to her and several wish to marry her, but she doubts the need of a husband, when she already has it all: a house, a farm, money and happiness. But is this really true? or does she secretly want company, love and security, even though she doesn’t claim to feel the need for it.. Or was love always there, right in front of her?

- I loved this movie. Why? First of all, Matthias Schoenaerts.. is mesmerizing to me. Their chemistry can be felt through the screen and the ending of the movie is so fulfilling. Calling all hopeless romantics, watch this movie!
Why you could skip this one
- If you want movies with an unexpected ending, this is not the one for you. Also, if you don't like long movies (119 minutes).
